You don't know how many times I think about our fun times at Balboa...I can still see rose sitting  in the front yard watching, and holding court...and sometimes I think i about your Dad, and all the rest of your parents friends, whom I knew so well, Rose will be missed, but never forgotten...

With love,

 Jack Goldner

I remember Rose as a parent at the Heschel Day School. Her son, Randy, was a sweet and spunky member of the first 3/4 grade class that was established at the school and I was one of his Hebrew/ Judaic Studies teacher. He blew the shofar each year for our Rosh Hashanah services. Quite a pair of lungs on that boy!Rose understood the importance of education for her children and was willing to take a risk on a young day school.I recall her great warmth and her open spirit and desire to contribute to everything. I think that Randy got his great generosity of spirit from two exceptionally kind and caring parents. May her memory be a blessing to your family and, as we say, may G-d comfort you along with all of the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

With warm regards,

Luisa Latham

We will miss Rosie’s smiling face every time we walk Balboa Island and pass her house. She always spotted us no matter where was. Either in the house or sitting on her patio under the umbrella and always insisting we sit down and chat with her. She was as sharp as a tack and remembered events that we didn’t even remember. David and I so enjoyed having dinner with her at heritage pointe last year with the Jeannette’s and Rosie’s friend who resides at heritage pointe. We will miss Rosie so much and were blessed that we were her summer friends.

May her memory be for a blessing

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family

p.s Rosie was so very proud of her family and loved talking about them!!

I loved you Rose, you were like a 2nd mother to me. You were full of life, always a good word for everyone and always made me laugh. I have such great memories growing up with Randy and spending some great summers on the Island. You will be missed my many, but never forgotten. The Island will never be the same and I toast my glass to you "my sweet Rose"
